How to fix your computer yourself ! Complete list of all BIOS Beep Codes

THE PROBLEM:

• What are those Beeps I hear when my computer starts up? 

• Where are they from?

• What do they mean?

THE PRINCIPLE:

Those sounds come from a little speaker integrated in all motherboards, they are induced by the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) that can be simply defined as an elementary computer component that controls computer hardware. When a computer is turned on, it goes through what is called a POST (power-on self test). This is a short diagnostic procedure incorporated into the boot sequence by the BIOS manufacturer for troubleshooting purposes. In fact, to every Beep sent out by the BIOS corresponds a specific message (NORMAL or ERROR) concerning a specific computer hardware. These messages differ from one BIOS manufacturer to the other. We now answer the last question by saying YES!  knowing how to "listen" and interprete those Beeps can save you much time and money because they tell you exactly what is wrong with your computer. THE SOLUTION:

First you need to identify your computers BIOS manufacturer.Its easy to do that,  just put off your computer, then put it back on. You see the first "things" that your screen prints out (that white text on black background that look so weird)?  On the first lines you should see something like "something" BIOS followed by a date and time, that "something" is the BIOS manufacturer. Jot it somewhere and youre done. Another way is to use the Software Everest Ultimate downloadable HERE  (Includes a video tutorial on how to identify your computers BIOS manufacturer using Everest Ultimate).  Now anytime your computer does not start up normally and gives out Beeps, you just have to "listen" then refer to the Beep code list to know whats wrong. You can then fix it yourself or see a professional who will not be able to dupe you because you would have known already what is wrong with your computer.
